Comsearch began with Bob Lyons.

A veteran of more than forty years in the automobile property and casualty industry, as well as auto auction and auto transportation industries, In 1985 Bob recognized the Insurance industry’s need to increase alternative parts usage and design processes and services that dramatically reduce cycle time and indemnity. Result? Comsearch was born.

An industry leader who is credited with many of its technical innovations, Bob was previously President/CEO of Auto Placement Center (APC), a leading automobile auction company, which was established in 1974.

After selling both companies in 2001, Bob and Comsearch’s senior management bought Comsearch back in 2005. Since then, they have continued to assemble a team with a customer-first philosophy that is unmatched in the industry.

A graduate of Bentley University and participant in many trade groups, Bob enjoys golfing, fly fishing and traveling.
