Employee Spotlight: Bill Burns

Meet Bill!

1. How long have you been part of the Comsearch team?
22 years

2. What inspires or excites you the most about working in this industry?
I enjoy the freedom of being able to work from home so I can work as soon as I’m up. That gives me time to cook, clean, do some yard work and still have some time in the evening for myself.

3. What skills have you developed since joining the company?
People skills. I have met several great people over the years that I am still very close friends with.

4. What is the best compliment or positive feedback you have received from a client/coworker/manager?
Can’t recall off the top of my head. But somewhere along the line something nice was said.

5. How do you balance your work and personal life?
With working from home, the house can sometimes get to feel like an office. So, I try to get out and about as much as possible.

6. When you’re not working, what hobbies or activities do you enjoy?
I watch a lot of horror movies, golf and have been cooking a lot as of late.

7. How do you stay motivated and inspired in your role?
For the most part I have a pretty pleasant experience with the shops I speak with on a daily basis.

8. What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
This time of year I like to be up early and get to the course before it gets packed, then go out for a nice lunch, get home early and relax.

9. If you could have any fictional character as a colleague, who would it be and why?
Garfield … I like cats and lasagna.

10. What was your very first job, and what did it teach you?
I worked at Shaws supermarket. Taught me that throwing a beach ball at your boss is a bad idea.
